New - Old - Profile - Guestbook - Notes - Design - Host I received an offer from a friend today re my diary's future. More to come… if you’re one of the few 2003-05-25 It’s not so much that I’m trying to give up the diary, as much as that NOTHING HAPPENS HERE IN MY 12x12 CELL. I’ve been home four nights and 50% of them have included a trip to Stallions! (Note to Linda Espenshade: The patrons of the club do not congregate owing to a shared penchant for all things equine.) These two trips (not to detract from the always enjoyable company of friends Scott and Dan) have shown that I have no desire for such shenanigans, but rather that I’d rather just find someone to sing “Islands in the Stream” with me at karaoke. Friday, at my lesson with Pierce, he told me I need to play with more abandon. I’ve begun to love the concept of this abandon, and have thus decided to live with it as well, culminating in the pouring out of my soul out today (a rarity indeed!) Pierce’s exact words were “Make way, Bach is coming through.” How funny is he? Big news of the week: Disaster almost struck Friday as I was shaving my head and nicked an eyebrow. Tragic news of the week: THAT was the big news of the week. I had a wonderful time with Joe at the Harrisburg Arts fest today. Shortly after Joe and I shared a mutual gag over the very idea of Thomas Kinkade, we ran into my parents who were looking for some wall-art “sort of like Thomas Kinkade.” And so it goes. And finally, things that warm the cockles o’ me heart: Sarah, Bretty and I moved almost everything out Saturday. (With Brett, not so much “moving” as much as “carrying a handful of books down the street 3 at a time.”) And then for the tearful goodbyes: Sarah maintained incredible composure although I’m guessing sobbed at one point during the trip home. Brett: “Well Matt, good luck in your future endeavors. If I don’t see you before, I’ll see you in hell.” This is all very disconcerting. . ----------------------------------------- With the Olsen's turning 17 in just two weeks, is anyone's breath as baited as mine own? - 2003-05-29 |
